--and the props keep turning--

There are many factors which dictate the "fun" scale of a day of flying. But, I bet we have all had the experience of wishing we were driving instead of flying!!

I was instructed that the daily reading of NOTAMS is an absolute necessity. But it seemed I was always prepared for a hideous situation on my path of flight. As it happens, problems were seldom, EXCEPT IN MY IMAGINATION!

ABOUT THIS PILOT!!

I've been a General Aviation pilot for 35 years and like to dwell and cartoon on the light side of aviation.
Whether you fly for pleasure, business or as a professional, we all at least most of us, all started at small airports and small FBO's.
The experiences we've all had are part and parcel of the love of flying.
Come and visit a few of these with me - real or imagined.

PS. as I begin this series, my hat is off to the well known USAIR Captain Sully, who not only kept the dirty side down, he safely washed it.

FIRST SOLO X-COUNTRY!
Over preparation was never a thought, and most of us got through it and even had a good time!
